1 TWO TONE (CHEVRON) AMETHYST GEMSTONE CRYSTAL TUMBLESTONE Chevron amethyst (also known as dog tooth amethyst) is a particular combination of violet purple amethyst with white and lilac bandings, typically at one end of the tumblestone. These bands are due to the presence of other minerals, such as quartz, and are semi translucent to opaque in density.
